If you wish to modify your current electricity supply, i-DE will help you manage the process.
In some cases, adjustments to the electrical grid may be required. Whether due to renovations or simply because you've decided to change your electricity supply, we’ll guide you through each step.
If your electrical connection is already installed, you can request changes to your existing supply via the Private Area.
To do so, you’ll need to identify the supply point to be modified by providing:
• The CUPS code of the supply point. • The address of the supply point.
Below are the types of changes you can request for your electricity supply, for i-DE installations or to transfer ownership of your installations.
Here are some common reasons for requesting a change in capacity:
• Acquisition of new appliances (e.g., air conditioning units) with higher consumption. • Change in use of a premises requiring greater capacity. • Replacement with LED lighting and/or more efficient appliances that consume less, prompting a reduction in capacity.
It’s important to verify whether your contracted capacity is suitable for your new consumption needs. We recommend using the capacity calculator.
If the requested increase is within the maximum contractable capacity rights, you can manage this directly through your retailer. Otherwise, a new connection file must be opened. i-DE can help you determine whether this is necessary:
• Do I need to open a connection file?
This request allows you to modify the voltage at a supply point. For example:
• Renovations in homes or premises where a change to standardized voltages is needed, 1x230V single-phase or 3x400/230V three-phase (common in older buildings with voltages of 1x127V or 3x220/127V).
If the voltage change requires an increase in capacity, the request will be processed as a capacity change. For example:
• Acquisition of new appliances requiring increased capacity that exceeds the maximum contractable limit for 1x230V single-phase (up to 15 kW).
This request is for modifying the electrical installation to comply with current regulations or to relocate the installation based on your needs. For example:
This type of request is used when housing units are split, commercial premises are grouped, etc. For example::
This request is made when the customer needs i-DE installations to be modified. For example:
• Relocating a pole on your property • Diverting a cable running along your façade • Burying an overhead line crossing your property or building
Although this does not directly involve a change in electricity supply, these actions are related and must be completed before changing your electricity provider or expanding your connection point.
See required documentation
If you manage a transformation center, switching station, or power line and wish to transfer it to the grid, you can request the transfer so that it becomes i-DE’s responsibility.
This process may be related to a change in electricity supply or infrastructure improvement. i-DE will take care of its operation and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance.
Yes. You can change the supply holder through your retailer. This process does not require construction work and does not affect the technical conditions of your supply point.
To manage a supply change, you’ll need:
• CUPS code of the supply point • Address of the supply point • Requested capacity • Details of the current and new holder, if applicable
Yes, you can adjust the contracted capacity when changing your electricity supply, provided your installation allows it. It’s important to verify whether your metering equipment and current connection are suitable for the new capacity.
