How to Register Electricity Supply for Your Home or Business?

When you move into a new home or open a new business and need to activate the electricity supply, it's essential to follow certain steps and meet the necessary requirements. Understanding this process will save you time and ensure your home or business is safely and efficiently connected to the power grid.

Steps to Register Electricity Supply

To register electricity supply, you must contact your distributor and complete the process until the service is activated. First, check if i-DE is your distributor.

You can find out if i-DE is your assigned distributor by locating your supply point on the Electricity Distributors Map.

Note

It’s not always necessary to open a case to request a power increase. If the requested power is within the maximum contractable limit, you can manage it directly through your electricity retailer. Otherwise, you’ll need to open a new case. i-DE can help you determine this.

You can do this through the Private Area under “Case Management” or have a professional handle it for you.
