Information on the wildfires in Ávila, Castellón, Madrid and Toledo

supply outages emergency situations

After the wildfires have been extinguished and the emergency services have authorised residents and business owners to return to the affected properties, you may still be without an electricity supply.

Our teams are inspecting and repairing the damage caused by the wildfires to the electricity distribution grid in order to restore the service safely as soon as possible.

In addition, the intensity of the wildfires may have damaged the private electrical installations of some homes or businesses, including electrical panels, wiring or other components of the internal installation.

Además, la intensidad de los incendios puede haber afectado a la instalación eléctrica particular de algunas viviendas o negocios, como cuadros eléctricos, cableado u otros elementos de la instalación interior.

What should I do if I do not have an electricity supply?

If the electricity distribution grid in your area is already operational but your home or business is still without supply, the private electrical installation may have been damaged as a result of the wildfire. In this case, you must contact an authorised electrical installer to inspect the installation and carry out the necessary repairs before your electricity supply can be safely restored. Prioritise safety and do not attempt to handle any components of your installation.

If the incident affects the electricity distribution grid, we will continue working to restore the service with the highest safety standards.

Checks that may help you identify the cause of the incident

Check whether other nearby homes or businesses are also without an electricity supply. If several neighbours are experiencing the same situation, the incident may be affecting the electricity distribution grid rather than only your installation.

Check the i-DE power outage map. You can view incidents in your area on our Power Outage Map. Please bear in mind that, due to the scale of the wildfires, some incidents may not yet be visible.
