If i-DE is your distributor and you want to check your contracted electrical capacity, log in to our Private Area.
This platform also explains how regulations and tariffs are applied and gives you the option to change your contracted capacity if the current value doesn’t match your actual consumption.
Types of Electrical Capacity
The contracted capacity for your electricity supply depends on the type of installation and the type of switch (single-phase or three-phase). The table below summarizes the different capacity ranges you can contract based on your electrical setup:
|
|
---|---|
Single-phase |
Suitable for single-family homes and small businesses. |
Three-phase |
Suitable for higher-demand installations, commercial complexes, or industrial facilities. |
Can I Change My Contracted Capacity at No Cost?
In most cases, increasing your contracted capacity involves additional costs. However, there are specific exceptions where the change may be made free of charge, provided certain technical and regulatory conditions are met.
For example, if the requested increase falls within the limits allowed by current regulations and your electrical installation can support it, some standard fees may not apply. Still, these cases are rare and depend on the specific situation of each supply point.
If you’re considering increasing or decreasing your contracted capacity, we recommend contacting your energy retailer. They can inform you about the specific conditions, associated costs, and whether a cost-free change is possible.
How Do I Change My Contract Conditions?
If you want to modify your contract conditions, such as adjusting your contracted electrical capacity, the process is very simple.
Usually, you’ll receive a request that we manage remotely by sending a command to your smart meter. In some cases, our technicians may need to visit the supply point to make physical adjustments to the meter.
At i-DE, we complete 98% of modifications in under 3 days, complying with the legal deadline of 5 business days for supplies with a capacity under 15 kW.
When Does the Change Take Effect?
Once the requested modification is completed, you’ll receive an email confirming that the change to your contract conditions is active.
This notification allows you to verify that your contracted electrical capacity has been updated correctly and that the change was made as requested.
